A-SYNC // LIMINAL PROTOCOL

A cooperative horror game in the Backrooms, recorded on 1990s tape.

You are a subject of the A-Sync Foundation. Your implant keeps you in sync while you map an endless maze of yellow offices, document what lives in it — and try to come back.

PC (Windows) · In development · Online co-op, 1–8 players

Expeditions out of sync

Every group of friends opens an expedition into the same endless, procedurally generated belt of the Backrooms. Each expedition takes place on a different date: some only minutes behind reality, some years. Walk far enough and you may see a torch at the end of a corridor — another group, from another time. When the lights go out, your expeditions can merge.

01 · Co-op

Expeditions

Online co-op for up to 8 subjects, with proximity voice: you hear your team the way you would in an empty office — through walls, fading with distance.

02 · Desync

Other times

Each expedition has its own date. Groups glimpse each other as echoes and can converge during a blackout, the camcorder clock rolling to the host's time.

03 · Anomalidex

Document it

Photograph, record and sample the anomalies. Your guild's shared Anomalidex and contract board grow with every expedition.

04 · Traces

Leave a mark

Spray marks, leave a recorded tape, lose your pack when the implant pulls you out. Other expeditions will find them later, in the same corridor.
